These genuine fish skin clutches are made from the largest freshwater fish on the planet, the pirarucu(paiche) in Peru. Unique to the Amazon river, the pirarucu are still somewhat unknown abroad but at over four hundred pounds, they typically clock in around ten feet long.
Earth-Friendly: Peruvian fish leather is treating without chrome normally used in all leather tanning process. The whole process in this leather is handcrafted and dyed with organic dyes.
Unlike other exotic hides or even cow leather ...fish leather, which resembles snakeskin, is highly sustainable.
